Lithography is fun but is not my cup of tea. A classmate of mine put it perfectly, “Lithography is a fickle bitch.”

You can put a lot of hours into a drawing, and then one small mishap can leave you SOL. I still have to suffer through another round of color litho next semester, but at least this time I’ll be better prepared for what it takes. Time management plays a large role in this particular area of printmaking, and it’s never been my strong suit. hehe.

Intaglio on the other hand is more interesting to me overall, because it’s not just making copies of a drawing. It’s portable, easily changeable, and I love working with metal plates. I love the look of a copper plate that’s been drawn on and is ready to be etched. I’d frame a copper plate without etching it—I think it’s so nifty.

I’d love to frame some of the stones I’ve drawn on for litho but… I can’t think of a good way to hang a 60 lb stone on the wall. hehe.

Anywho… printmaking goals aside, my mind is very much already on vacation in Alaska. Keith and I will be taking an Alaskan cruise to celebrate the end to another semester. :D It will begin with a couple days spent exploring Seattle, then we’re off on the Norwegian Star for a 7-Day cruise around Alaska and the Canadian coast. So exciting!

Okay, now just need to make it through a couple more weeks of school. I can do it! CHARGE!!!
