A nice shot of part of Dillion, CO
Over really muddy areas were nice wood bridges...and lots of hungry buggies! This little pond didn't have a name so I will call The Pond :D
Stumps can be very fascinating :D
Da Bird
Here we being eating alive We came to a spot where there was a huge cluster of rocks and boulders. We could hear running water but couldn't see any.
Maria and Keith climbed over all the rocks looking for the water source. I think we may have found a trickle.
I followed Keith example and began keeping the blood suckers off me with my hat...Maria, who refuses to wear hats, suffered. I found the hike fun to begin with, despite the squitos' and watching Maria get eaten just made it better >:-) After recuperating from all the blood loss on the morning hike, we went for a walk around the lake. This little guy was checking us out. Lake Dillion
There were really gorgeous flowers around this lake
I thought these were tombstones at first but upon closer inspection I saw that they were just marble seats.
A cute little marina where you could rent sail boats or motor boats. I love this! NO ZEBRA MUSSELS! While zebras themselves rock my world, these little guys aren't so great. They tend to destroy the area they're living in.
Keith wonders where to go next...mmmm
I found this rock formation interesting....looked like it would crumble any minute. Walking over to see the little dam
A very small and unusual dam.
Evening shot of Dillion I turned around and praised Allah! I'm tall! Hehe

Description: This album is of our day of hiking on a local Dillion trail and then the afternoon walk around Lake Dillion. The local trail had great scenery and MUTANT mosquitoes!!! Up until this day we had not needed any bug spray so we didn't bring on this day either. The trail wound down around some rather swampy areas and man oh man! We were a feast! We made it about half down the trail before we had to turn around and go back. Later we went for a walk around the lake which was great and didn't involve any blood sucking insects :D
